These terms cover your use of ccsepractice.com and the CCSE Pass. They are written in plain English. If you are a consumer in the EU, nothing in them takes away the rights the law of your country gives you.
01Who we are
CCSE Practice is run by Trevor Mulder, a sole proprietor based in Canada ("we", "us"). Postal address: PO Box 185, Chestermere, AB T1X 1K8, Canada. Email: support@ccsepractice.com.
02What we offer
Online practice questions in English for the CCSE exam, with explanations, timed practice tests and a progress dashboard. A free sample is available without an account. The full question bank needs a CCSE Pass.
CCSE Practice is an independent study site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Instituto Cervantes or the Government of Spain, and our questions are not the official exam questions. We cannot book, sit or mark the exam for you.
03Your account
You need an account to save progress and to use a CCSE Pass. Give a correct email address and keep your password to yourself. An account is for one person; please don't share your login. You can close your account at any time by emailing us.
04The CCSE Pass: price and access
- Price: €9.99, a one-time payment in euros. The price shown includes VAT at the rate that applies in your country.
- Access: full access for 120 days from the moment of purchase. It does not renew, and nothing is charged again.
- Payment: the checkout is run by Link, Stripe's reseller service ("Sold through Link"). Link is the seller of record for the payment: it charges you, collects and pays the VAT, and emails your receipt and VAT invoice. The charge on your card statement starts with LINK.COM*. We provide the CCSE Pass itself and remain responsible for it, for support and for our guarantee.
- Price changes never affect a pass you have already bought.
05Your right of withdrawal
If you live in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. For digital content supplied straight away, that right ends once access starts, but only if you have expressly agreed to the immediate start and acknowledged that you lose the right. At checkout we ask you to tick a box to give that agreement, and we confirm it in your purchase email.
Separately, and on top of the law, we offer a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee: email us within 14 days of purchase and we refund you in full, no questions asked. See the refund policy.
06Fair use
Please use the site for your own study. You may not:
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish or sell our questions or explanations;
- share your account, or resell or transfer a CCSE Pass;
- try to get around the paywall, break the site, or test its security without our written permission.
If an account is used in breach of these rules, we may suspend it after telling you why.
07Our content
The questions, explanations, text and design of the site are ours (or licensed to us) and are protected by copyright. The facts they test, such as dates and laws, belong to no one. Names such as "CCSE" and "Instituto Cervantes" are used only to describe the exam the site prepares you for.
08No guarantee of a result
We work hard to keep every question accurate and up to date, but we cannot promise that you will pass the CCSE, and practice scores do not predict an exam result. Exam rules, dates and fees are set by the Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish authorities; always check them at the official source.
09Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may improve or change the question bank and features. If a change seriously reduces what you paid for, tell us and we will extend your access or refund you.
10Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. If something goes wrong, please email us first; most problems are easier to fix that way.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for a pass you have already bought, we will tell you by email; changes never apply retroactively to a purchase.
